Meet the people who help contribute to Whiteman Motors

Chris is the one who always wanted to see this happen. The son of two teachers, and he himself closing in on his second decade of being a classroom teacher, he always wanted to see what it was like to run a business. Little did he know what he was in for. Originally went to Washington State University for Mechanical Engineering, he transferred to Central Washington University to finish his degree in Engineering and Industrial Education, and later received his Masters in Vocational Administration. Currently teaching Engineering, Welding, Architecture, and Construction in Oak Harbor, Chris grew up framing, welding, and working on bikes and trucks. and has always wanted to design and build his own projects.

Steve is the one who started Whiteman Motors. The running joke in the family was always “Time to buy another car from Whiteman Motors”, as Steve never had a shortage of vehicles in circulation through his shop. Having graduated from Central Washington University in Industrial Education and later receiving his MFA in Writing, Steve was a classroom teacher for 30 years in Oak Harbor, having retired in 2005. He currently spends a lot of his retirement working on classic cars, namely VW’s.

Wyatt is a former student of Chris’s.

Gabe is also another former student of Chris’s.
